We’re deeply sorry that we underestimated the degree of the difficuties this new craft brings. Based on the current situation, we’ve decided to refund and compensate you in the meantime.
CYBERBOARD R2 has taken on a challenge to be the first tech gadget to use this sophisticated glossy and matte aluminium polishing process. Currently, parts are piled up like mountains, but the final products still can’t meet our standards. Thus, we’re still unable to confirm the delivery time.
Before the pre-order, we carried out a lot of trial productions. However, after more than 2 months of hard work, we still have not been able to bridge the gap between PTR (production trial round) and mass production. This new craft that has never been tackled before has really taught us a huge lesson. As a result, we failed the expectations of our global users. That’s our mistake, however, dropping the quality standards would worsen the situation.
We shouldn’t hold your money without knowing the delivery time.

We have not yet given up on this challenge. After the refund, we may gradually realize the production of certain variants. However, due to the extremely high uncertainty about the delivery time right now, we believe the refund and compensation is the right decision, though it really hurts.
We’ll continue to improve on CB R2. If production of R2 is feasible, we’ll produce it alongside CB R3. We don’t expect that disappointed CB R2 owners will continue to support us, but just in case, we’ll give out R3 purchase priority without down payment, in addition to the refund and compensation.
Follow Up 2: CB R3 will be sold from inventory.
To prevent the same thing from happening again, CYBERBOARD R3 will be sold from dedicated inventory. We will have enough in stock to make sure that every priority user will be able to get one CYBERBOARD after payment within the specified time period.
Since R3 will be sold from inventory, we can’t ensure adequate supply of each individual color variant to meet every demand. We sincerely hope for your understanding. (Notice: R3 priority payment customers are eligible for R3 color preselection.)
Follow Up 3: Although CB R2 is refunded and compensated, we will provide them in order of payment time if it becomes available.
In case you’re only interested in CB R2, we will give priority to CB R2 users and release it in batches according to chronological order of the original payment time, and the price will remain the same. That’s in case we manage to get it done. It would really warm our hearts if there still are some users out there who would buy the version they want after getting refunds and compensation.
We are well aware that the aftermath of this issue cannot be perfect. We have already failed our users and can only try to make up for it. In the future, we will have better products to win back user’s trust.
