Summary
Ink Blossom deskmats have reached Bolsa Keyboard Supply’s office, but carry minor defects with image placement / sizing. Specifically, the border graphic is closer to the deskmat’s edge, compared to renders and pre-production samples.
Although Group Buy items are usually final sale, Bolsa Keyboard Supply is allowing customers to return Ink Blossom deskmats they are dissatisfied with.

Hey guys, wanted to share some good and some not as good news. Good news is Ink Blossom & Irezumi B + W in stock has reached our office and came much faster than originally anticipated. Now the not so great news is Ink Blossom did not come produced to the same standard as the original pre-production samples we had placed. The color and clarity is fine and as expected, however it seems like the overall image was scaled in about 5% which makes the corner border design closer to the edge than what was originally shown in the original render and in the samples we received. The negative side to this is it makes inconsistencies in centering a lot more apparent now that the design is almost edge to edge (some borders may be closer on one side of the deskmat than the other, this is not as apparent if the borders were closer in and further away from the edge of the deskmat). Unfortunately, the manufacture is not willing to own up to the mistake and is saying that its just a “tolerance issue” that is unpreventable, even though the pre-production sample clearly showed otherwise.
Now this isn’t even close to being a complete mess up, but at the same time we take pride in the quality of our products so to our standards it is definitely a bit aggravating. We felt that it was necessary to address this issue, especially since this was a very large group buy.
While generally all group buy products are final sale, because of this issue we are going to make this group buy fall under our standard return policy. While the issue could have been much worse, and is not as noticeable when the mat is laid out on a desk, we still feel like this is the right thing to do. Additionally, all group buy orders will be individually QC’d prior to packing, and while this may slow down the fulfillment time tremendously, we feel that all GB participants deserve the best units we have in our stock. Units that we would consider not A stock will be sold as B stock units in the extras sale at a lower price.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and we did what we could to try to ensure the end product would be as promised by paying for pre-production samples, but clearly more precautions need to be placed and we hope to use this as a learning lesson to further prevent this happening again in the future.

Angry Miao has decided to refund all CYBERBOARD R2 orders. They don’t believe they can meet mass production demands while maintaining their quality standards.
Development of the CYBERBOARD R2 will still continue and the final product may or may not be released alongside the CYBERBOARD R3.

We made the hard decision to refund all orders of CYBERBOARD R2. We also offer an additional 80 USD cash compensation for each keyboard. Surely these don’t fully compensate our customers’ expectations, but it’s our way to make a sincere apology.
Follow up 1: We won’t give up on CYBERBOARD R2 production.
Follow up 2: CB R3 will be sold from inventory (no presale).
Follow up 3: Although CB R2 is refunded and compensated, we will provide them in order of payment time if it becomes available.

CYBERBOARD R2 has taken on a challenge to be the first tech gadget to use this sophisticated glossy and matte aluminium polishing process. Currently, parts are piled up like mountains, but the final products still can’t meet our standards. Thus, we’re still unable to confirm the delivery time.
Before the pre-order, we carried out a lot of trial productions. However, after more than 2 months of hard work, we still have not been able to bridge the gap between PTR (production trial round) and mass production. This new craft that has never been tackled before has really taught us a huge lesson. As a result, we failed the expectations of our global users. That’s our mistake, however, dropping the quality standards would worsen the situation.
We shouldn’t hold your money without knowing the delivery time.
Therefore, we made the hard decision to refund all orders of CYBERBOARD R2. We also offer an additional USD$80 cash compensation for each keyboard. Surely these don’t fully compensate our customers’ expectations, but it’s our way to make a sincere apology.

If production of R2 is feasible, we’ll produce it alongside CB R3. We don’t expect that disappointed CB R2 owners will continue to support us, but just in case, we’ll give out R3 purchase priority without down payment, in addition to the refund and compensation.
Follow Up 2: CB R3 will be sold from inventory.
To prevent the same thing from happening again, CYBERBOARD R3 will be sold from dedicated inventory. We will have enough in stock to make sure that every priority user will be able to get one CYBERBOARD after payment within the specified time period.Since R3 will be sold from inventory, we can’t ensure adequate supply of each individual color variant to meet every demand. We sincerely hope for your understanding. (Notice: R3 priority payment customers are eligible for R3 color preselection.)

In case you’re only interested in CB R2, we will give priority to CB R2 users and release it in batches according to chronological order of the original payment time, and the price will remain the same. We will be refunded by them and compensated for our costs. Our company cannot legally pay 80 USD they are promising everyone. To still honor their solution we will send an email to our customers involved to request if we can provide their personal information to Angry Miao. Then Angry Miao will be sending out compensation fees. We will not be involved in this other than collecting consent to share your information with them.
We will be involved in R3 and each customer will get priority to purchase from this round before other customers.
Please do not create tickets for this. We will be reaching out to customers ourselves. This will take some time.

Good morning everyone, as you may have heard from Angrymiao’s Instagram, the CYBERBOARD R2 was not able to pass QC successfully and thus will be refunding orders as well as providing compensation to all of the customers. I will be attaching their Instagram post below, which includes their detailed message regarding compensation and refunding of customers, as well as photos and how the situation will be handled for R3.

I am currently in discussions with Angrymiao to have the down payment provided to them refunded to us, alongside any other fees accrued by each order. This process may take a bit of time, and once the funds have been returned to Ashkeebs alongside the $80 USD compensation for each CYBERBOARD R2 purchase (part orders with no keyboard included receive a full refund only), we will begin to cancel and refund everybody’s order. This same notice will be sent to everyone via newsletter in the next couple of days.
As Brownie has mentioned before, do not PM Ashkeebs staff for anything related to the CYBERBOARD R2 groupbuy. We are handling it behind the scenes and will make sure everyone is taken care of :emote_love: This is also a large logistical undertaking that I will be handling myself, and so I ask for your patience if your order cancellation and refund process begins a day or two after someone else you know (doubtful, but I want to provide a heads-up just in case).
We’re really disappointed we won’t be able to provide the board to everyone as it’s a real beauty, but with R3 the units will have already completed production, and will simply need to ship it from overseas. Once Angrymiao provides more information on that round, we will update here!

DSA Encore, a keycap set drawing inspiration and assets from League of Legends’s fictional K/DA K-POP idol group, will likely undergo design changes. A cease and desist was issued by a third-party legal firm on behalf of Riot Games.
Buyers that have joined AlphaKeys’s GB for the DSA Encore may request a refund, if they aren’t interested in a redesigned keycap set.
This post may be updated later, should I receive official news on how the other vendors would like to approach the GB.
Hey @Spacekeebers, it is with extremely heavy heart that I must notify you that DSA Enore has been handed a C&D from a third-party legal firm representing Riot Games and can no longer be produced/fulfilled as is.
I’m currently waiting to see if it can still be fulfilled under a redesign, meaning same colors, but new theme/novelties/name without K/DA influences.
All my lovely vendors will follow up shortly with info regarding refunds to anyone who joined the GB; however, there’s also the option to wait before requesting a refund to see if the redesign is possible, and if it is, to see what the redesign will be. To be extra clear, all DSA Encore GBers will have the option to request a full refund ASAP.
Please keep an eye out on your respective vendor for more information on their process for that as well as who will be fulfilling the possible redesigned keyset. I expect to be informed about the redesign option by the end of this week, but whenever that info becomes available to me, I’ll be keeping everyone updated. I’ll be making a similar post tomorrow on Instagram.

SwitchKeys / DailyClack Update - Australia Post Delays

aeboards / Keyboard Treehouse - NAEVY + RAEDS Switches Notice

This is less of a “News” post and more of a “Notice.”
Summary
aeboards’s / Keyboard Treehouse’s NAEVY tactile switches and RAED linear switches reportedly are brittle and have durability issues. In particular, the stem – made of custom mixed polyethylene / PE – may snap off inside the keycap. aeboards / Keyboard Treehouse has pulled the NAEVY and RAED switches from their store page (presumably for this reason), but interested folks may contact them in their Discord, and international buyers may still purchase the switches from proxy vendors.
Customers dissatisfied with their problematic NAEVY and RAED switches may contact aeboards / Keyboard Treehouse in their Discord to discuss getting replacements. I’m uncertain whether customers that have bought from proxy vendors will receive the same customer support.

Switches Update:
As we’ve had disclaimers on the package, and the discord, and when you talk to us, we can’t stress this enough - the material used in our line of switches is brittle and will break if you apply force. This is the compromise we were willing to take for the sound and smoothness of the switch. I had an assumption that people who were already buying from us had some level of experience and wouldn’t be breaking these as much (we didn’t get that many reports until recently, and the material has been used over a year with the same tolerances). Since the hobby has grown, and clone cap manufacturers become normalised, you may have problems as these clone caps may not follow cherry specs (which the stems are designed for), and might have warped keys or inefficient tolerances in the stem itself.
However, since the stem is brittle, they may snap off inside the cap, you can still recover your cap - there are no reports of stem cracks.
You will need to finesse it out, and it’s possible, if you’re using clone caps then we do not recommend using our switches. You can still buy them, just message on aeboards and we’ll point to you the right direction - and we still recommend them, I think they’re great if you know what you’re doing.
As for this situation, we are happy to give replacements out for those problematic switches (much easier if domestic for postage reasons - internationals we suggest bundling stuff) - please talk to us first here on the discord - this is our official channel for discussions and feedback.
