Recommendations for a Mirrorless under $600

Hey all,
After doing a few hours of research on my own, I realized I’m an idiot to ignore the collective knowledge that all-y’all have about photography.
I’m looking for recommendations for a mirorrless camera under $600, and I was wondering if y’all have any ideas?
Specifically, I’m looking for something with decent AF performance and an evf, as well as a kit lens.

I was looking at the panasonic g7, due to the fact that I know absolutely nothing about this, but if there’s a used camera that fits the budget, I’m not opposed to that at all.
Thanks!

A great system that’ll fit your budget is the Fuji X system. Getting something like an X-T2 or so and an XF 18-55 F/2.8-4 and maybe other general equipment with the leftover budget would get you a great start.

Edit: X-T2s have gone up in price, you could look into the X-T20 and X-T1 as they’ll have about equally decent quality and a solid platform to grow on.

I get my used photo gear mostly on r/photomarket on Reddit, but looking for something like this is a good bet https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fujifilm-Fuji-X-T20-24-3MP-Mirrorless-Digital-Camera-Body-Silver-110-/373646122819?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 along with the 18-55 I mentioned previously. Look for deals and you should be able to get it to fit in $600.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had no idea that the T-20 body had come down by so much on ebay.

They seem to have gone up in price since last I checked. Then again, I tend to get deals. I used an X-H1, which shares a sensor with the X-T2 and X-T20, and while it was a good performer, the lens system wouldn’t work for me.

I’ll be honest, I last checked like… 4 years ago?
But everything’s gone up in the past year, so no big surprise.

The idea was a combination of photography and videography, so an EVF would be nice, but not an absolute requirement.

You can look at the back screen for video.
but it might not be good for stablization.

I use a panasonic GX85
Only problem is it doesn’t have a mic in.
Another one is a canon M50.
but I think a fuji is also pretty good.

I’ll just second what @Hat suggested and leave it at that. :ok_hand:
Solid suggestion and I tend to advise people not to get flooded by researching every possible choice.
Getting out there and creating is what’s most important.
